Robert C. Marchwinski

I am an observational astronomer who mainly works in the infrared. My research interests are mostly Milky Way in focus. I’ve worked on the galactic magnetic field, local star formation, stellar properties of planetary hosting stars, and exoplanets. I hope to get some experience doing instrumentation as well and am involved with astrobiology to a smaller degree.

I graduated in 2012 from Boston University Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Astronomy & Physics, with a minor in Mathematics, with Distinction, and College Honors. In my year I received the College Prize in Astronomy and the Institute for Astrophysical Research Prize. Prior to college I grew up in South Jersey just outside of Philadelphia.
