Family StatueThis photograph captures former Capitol Campus lecturer in art education and African American history, Professor C. Oliver LaGrone (left), with Provost Robert E. McDermott (right). LaGrone served as Penn State University’s Artist-in-Residence in 1975. This image captures him presenting Provost McDermott with his sculpture, “Family.” LaGrone was an acclaimed sculptor, poet, teacher, and humanitarian who had a profound impact upon the Capitol Campus community.
